Safety Town Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Safety Town with SC Career Kids! Safety Town is a fun and educational program designed to teach young children important safety lessons in a simulated town environment.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be in 6th – 12th grade.
  • Volunteers must attend schools in the Irmo area within Lexington Richland School District 5.
  • Volunteers will be required to attend a volunteer meeting, the date will be announced soon.
  • Volunteers will receive service hours for their participation.

Responsibilities: As a Safety Town volunteer, you will work with small groups of children, escorting them around Safety Town and assisting with various activities. Your role may include:

  • Guiding children through safety demonstrations and interactive exhibits.
  • Assisting instructors with hands-on activities.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Serving as a positive role model for younger children.
